Pinterest!!!
Vintage...vintage...vintage! Vintage stuff makes me so happy. Some day I am going to have a bookcase full of vintage books that I will never read. A drawer full of old keys that don't go to anything. I will have cracked bottles that are a hundred years old because that sort of thing makes me happy. :) Aren't you happy just thinking about it as well?

Here are some cute vintage things I found on pinterest...

This pink sewing machine is adorable!

I wish little girls still dressed this way. :)

Amazing car!!!

This is such a great idea. Using old typewriter keys for jewelry. I wish I could make these! A little while ago I almost bought some keys to make something with them but they were to expensive.

Shabby Chic and vintage stuff is totally "in" right now. Re-purposing and up-cycling junk is no longer frowned upon. Be sure to hit the garage sales cause you might find something worth crafting with!

Hey readers!

I am so sorry I haven't posted in really long time! I have been super busy. Anyway, I wanted to show a craft I made a while ago. It turned out pretty cute in the end but looking back I think I would have done a few things differently.

Here is my pink, yellow, and black picture frame. Interesting choice of colors...right? If I chose to recreate this picture frame I think I would paint it white and sand the edges for a distressed look. I also think I would change the color of the words to bright blue. What do you think?

Michael 's craft store carries these cheap wooden frames. I painted the frame pink and cut out that pretty clear paper to fit the outside of the frame. What? Did I just say clear paper? Yes I did! You may have seen it before but it is pretty much one of the greatest things ever invented. You can get in many different patterns at Michaels. I just glued the paper onto the frame and it made the front shining and more professional looking. It also gave it the pattern. Next I added a bow and some words. All Done! A perfect and cheap gift!

Hopefully, soon a will have another amazing fabric flower tutorial! Stay tuned. :)

What is more fun than getting a hand written letter in the mail? I love ripping open an envelope from a friend to see what they have written inside. I think that receiving a letter in the mail is way more meaningful that getting a text or an email. A friendly note shows how much you care about a person. Taking the time to write, address, and mail a letter takes time. Sadly, not very many people write letters anymore. Either they don't know what to say or they are to lazy to take the time to write one.

I want to encourage everyone to write notes of encouragement to your friends. You will be surprised how much joy you will have in writing a simple note. :)

Another fun thing is buying or making cute note cards. Vista Print has really cute notes and return address labels!!!! You can personalize and design the return address labels yourself. They are also really cheap! Go check out this amazing site http://www.vistaprint.com !!!

Instead of emailing your friend to see how they are doing, you should write them a note. I guarantee your friend will feel more appreciated, and if your lucky you might get a letter back! :)

I am in a ruffles mood!

RUFFLED SKIRT!!!!

I think this skirt is so cute!!! Sadly, I didn't make it (I found it on Pinterest). However it would be so easy to make. Rufflefabric.com has adorable pre-ruffled fabric. The fabric is sorta pricey but the end result would be worth it. Plus it would only take a few minutes to put together. :)

The second skirt is a little more beachy! So cute right?
There are so many amazing tutorials for ruffled skirts...so you have no excuse (like me) not to make one!

I am totally gonna make a ruffled skirt some day!

Cutest Bags Ever!!!

These bags turned out so cute (if I do say so myself ;) I found the tutorial at http://thepolkadotcloset.blogspot.com/2011/11/no-sew-french-market-bags.html . This is such a easy, cheap, DIY tutorial. I am so excited to tell you how I made them.

First I bought canvas bags from Walmart. They have canvas bags in two different sizes and I got the bigger size.

Next I made ruffles for the top. The tutorial for my favorite kind of ruffle is found here  http://simplyshabbygirl.blogspot.com/2011/11/fabric-flower.html . Start by making the ruffle flower but don't twist it. Make four ruffles. Next sew the ruffles onto you bag (all the way around, with a double row).

Now make a flower using my flower tutorial or an kind of flower you want to make. Hot glue it onto corner of the bag over the ruffles.

Finally, check out the Graphic Fairy for some amazing vintage designs. Print your favorite onto iron on paper and iron it onto the bag.

Now your adorable bag should look like one of these. . .

My mom and I made these bags for my aunts for Christmas Presents. it was such a fun project! Enjoy, and happy crafting.
