Strawberry Pie



MMMM!!! There is nothing better than a fresh strawberry pie on a hot summer day! This pie is literally my favorite dessert ever. It is so delicious!

Crust:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 6 T milk
  • 1 t salt


Mix together with a fork until moist, roll between wax paper, and place in pie pan. Cook at 400 for 10 min, then reduce heat to 350 and bake till golden (about 8 min).

Glaze:

  • 2 T strawberry Jello powder
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 2T corn starch
  • 2/3 cup sugar

Dissolve Jello powder and sugar in hot water. Stir in cornstarch and simmer till mixture thickens. 

Finish:


Wash strawberries and cut off stems. Add a thin layer of glaze to the bottom of the cooled pie crust. next stick/stack the berries in the crust.  Poor the glaze evenly over all the strawberries. Cool and then enjoy!
Best served with whipped cream and/or vanilla ice cream.
