Lemon Cake!

A couple weeks ago I received a magazine issue from All Recipes. While flipping through the magazine I came across this super easy/delicious Lemon Cake recipe. So... in honor of Spring!!!! I decided to share it with you all.

Recipe

  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package lemon cake mix
  • 1 (3.4 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup lemon flavored carbonated beverage (I used Sprite)
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
Grease and Flour a Bundt pan.
In a bowl combine cake mix, pudding and oil. Stir in the eggs one at a time , then stir in the soda.
Poor the batter into the pan and cook for 35-45 min.

Mine turned out oh so yummy and super moist!

(I basically ate the entire cake myself (over a period of a few days of course))

Anyways...it helped me get into the spring mood and and I thought it would be a fun cake to make on Easter. I didn't think the cake needed a glaze but it would be yummy if you wanted to make one.

This cake is perfect if you are in a rush because it only takes a few minutes to put together and it is delicious!

Happy Spring!

One of my all time favorite crafts to make is hair accessories! It is so fun to add interest to any outfit with a
feminine hair clip or headband!

Today I am going to teach you how to make a t-shirt hair clip.
This clip is ridiculously easy to make...and super fun!

Supplies:

*old t-shirt
*hot glue gun
*fabric scissors
*hair clip or headband

1. Cut out 9 circles from your old t-shirt (all the same size)
2&3. fold in half, and then fold again
4. after folding 4 circles slide them all together
5. next do another layer the same way and glue
the other four petals on top of the first layer
6. put another glob of hot glue in the center
7. using your fingers squeeze the petals together
8. set the flower down and fluff up the petals
9&10. hot glue your last circle onto the bottom of the flower to hole everything together
11. if you are making this into a clip...hot glue a clip onto the bottom of the flower

Ta-Da!!!! Ain't she gorgeous!

(Perfect in Pink)

(Beautiful in Blue)

(Wonderful in White)

These three I made into headbands by gluing them onto stretchy lace! In the last picture I dyed the lace purple with Rit dye!

Lions and Tigers and Flamingos Oh My!

We recently took a field trip to the Zoo for my little cousins 4th Birthday. It was so fun taking pictures of all than animals. I wanted to show you a few of my favorites.

The Most Photogenic...

THE LION

(He didn't want to look at us because he was asleep, but finally he posed for a split second so I could snap a shot.) Isn't he beautiful!

THE GIRAFFE

(This big guy was cracking me up with his tongue.)

THE TIGER

(He wouldn't stop moving so it was really hard to get a shot)

THE FLAMINGO

(So beautiful)

THE BIRD

(I can't remember what he was called.)

I love seeing God's amazing creativity and splendor in His creation! He is an awesome God!
